I took a bunch of pictures of the moon at various apertures and exposures to try to estimate the effect of small apertures on resolving power. A smaller aperture is gives you a wider range of what's in focus, but from Dawes' limit, you also loose resolving power. I wanted to see if I could visibly see this effect. I think it was pretty obvious for 200mm focal length between f /5.6 and f /36. The difference between f /5.6 and f /8 was much subtler as expected.
